Markus Lahmer was honored as an "athlete with heart 2021" at the LOTTERIEN Sporthilfe Gala for his commitment to inclusive wakesurfing respresenting the strong team spirit of Ohana Vienna.
INCLUSION
- INCLUSION DOES NOT KNOW ANY BORDERS -
Over the years, Florian Dungl and Markus Lahmer were invited all over the world as inclusion ambassadors to share their know how and help other adaptive athletes to become wakesurfers.
On August 28th 2021, for the first time in the history of the Austrian wakesurf series, a separate para sport contest was held in Velden / Wörthersee. With Florian Dungl, para-ski ace Markus Gfatterhofer and ex-ski jumper Lukas Müller, three wheelchair users took part. At the same time, it was the first time that an inclusive competition was held in the regular championship races - showing the true meaning of INCLUSION
